What It’s About

Our Sunday morning Elementary program helps children grow in their love for Jesus and understanding of the Catholic faith. We offer Sacramental Preparation (First Reconciliation & First Communion) and Community Formation classes for continued faith development.
As an Elementary Catechist, you have the joyful privilege of being among the first faces of faith that our children will come to know. You are helping them take their first steps on the path of discipleship—steps that begin in wonder, grow in love, and lead them closer to the heart of Jesus.

These early years of faith formation are sacred. In your classroom, children will learn not only about God but how to talk to Him, listen to Him, and see Him in the world around them. They will hear, maybe for the first time, that they are deeply loved, perfectly created, and never alone.

That message will come from the songs you sing, the stories you tell, the prayers you lead, and—most importantly—the way you show up every Sunday with warmth and joy.

You are not alone in this mission. You are part of a team that believes in the power of small acts done with great love. You’ll be equipped with solid resources, surrounded by support, and guided by the Holy Spirit. As St. Paul reminds us, “our adequacy is from God” (2 Corinthians 3:5 NASB)—and He will never send you where His grace won’t sustain you.
