Ushers and Greeters Ministry

Who are Ushers and Greeters?

Holy Trinity welcomes all parishioners to serve as Ushers and Greeters at Mass.

They welcome people to worship, tend to their needs, help them to find a place to sit, gather their gifts during the collection, provide them with a bulletin, and bid them farewell when the liturgy concludes.

Expectations

Ushers and Greeters are friendly people who welcome all to Holy Trinity. Their faith enables them to see Christ’s presence in individuals and in the gathered community of believers. Ushers are honest and dependable. They can handle emergency situations with courage and composure. They carry dignity about themselves even when performing menial tasks.

Our Ushers and Greeters want to help; have a deep faith in Christ, a love for the Eucharist, and a place in the community. Their desire to serve helps our parishioners when they come to celebrate the Eucharist.

Jesus said, “Whoever welcomes you, welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me, welcomes the One who sent me” (Mt. 10:40).
