Holy Trinity Center Food Pantry
Our Mission
Following our Lord Jesus Christ and his disciple St. Vincent de Paul, we at the Holy Trinity Center, as part of the parish community outreach of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, share a deep concern for the suffering of the poor.
We invite all people to unite in listening and responding to the cries of those in need. Such response would include assistance with most basic needs of life, using a variety of means and resources. The underlying principle in such assistance is that of helping the poor and their families regardless of religious affiliation or ethnicity.
Our Service
Holy Trinity Center food pantry is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 AM to Noon.
Our clients are seen by appointment and our volunteers have an amazing opportunity to interact one-on-one with those who rely on us every month. Each client is allowed to shop for themselves with a personal shopper volunteer to make the experience more engaging and in touch with our Vincentian roots.
The Need for Bilingual volunteers has grown dramatically! If this is something you feel called to try please do not hesitate to reach out or sign up for a day.
In order to continue serving higher numbers within this new model we have partnered with Catholic Charities Dallas to provide a Food Truck service on the first and third Saturday of every month at 12PM. We strongly encourage anyone looking for a volunteer opportunity to try it out! Service generally lasts two hours and serves between 40 and 100 clients depending on the weather. We will be out there rain or shine!
We always need donations of non-perishable food items (such as peanut butter & tuna) and personal hygiene products (such as shampoo, razors, diapers, toothpaste, and toilet paper) which can be dropped off at the Center during open hours or at the parish office. Thank you for your continued support.
How Can You Make A Difference?
Every Donation Counts.
We rely on our donations to fund this incredibly impactful ministry. We could not do what we do without the continued support of Holy Trinity Center’s Donors and we are so grateful for your help.
Aside from financial donations we also welcome food and hygiene product donations which can be dropped off with an Usher during any Sunday Mass, at the Food Pantry during operating hours, or at the Parish office during regular business hours.
Thank you for your continued Support of our Mission!
Volunteer With Us.
This Ministry is run by the volunteers which are just as vital as financial contributions to the sustainability of this resource. We always welcome new volunteers and are excited to have you join our service community!
We do require volunteers with the food pantry to be Safe Environment Certified which is an easy process we can facilitate if you have not already gone through the program.
We offer a number of ways to serve, including intake, personal shopper, stockers, loading and unloading in addition to the Food Truck service! If you have any questions please reach out to Emily, our Holy Trinity Center Director at [email protected] or 214-526-8555 during regular office hours.
