A Letter From Fr. Milton
Merry Christmas! As we deck the halls, light up our Advent wreaths (carefully monitored so they don’t set off the fire alarms this year), and ready ourselves for the joy of Christmas, I am filled with gratitude for each of you. Thank you for the countless ways you bring Christ’s love to life in our community! But let’s be honest…just like your dear Uncle Joe who casually drops hints about needing new fishing gear, I’m here to do a little bit of the same. You see, there are ten special projects we’d love to tackle in the New Year to make our parish community even more warm, welcoming, and, yes, air-conditioned. Our “Top Ten Parish Christmas Wish List.” is included on the second sheet for your convenience! Feel free to picture me writing this in a Santa hat. So there you have it! If you feel a nudge in your heart (or hear a little jingle bell urging you on), I invite you to give to one of these projects. As we prepare to welcome Christ, your generosity can help make our parish shine brighter and serve more fully. Thank you, dear friends, for your support, prayers, and presence. May this Christmas season fill your hearts with joy and your homes with love. And may you be blessed with enough leftover cookies to get through until Epiphany!
Una Carta del Padre Milton
¡Feliz Navidad!

Thank you for your support!
1. New Air Conditioning and Heating Units – Our boiler and our A/C units have worked hard for many years! Our boiler has been serving Holy Trinity since 1944 and the A/C units have been cooling since 1989. Unfortunately, they have reached the end of their service life and have to be replaced. We have managed to secure over 40% of the total cost but need your help with the rest! We are still in need of ($360,173).
2. Landscaping Improvements – Nothing says “Welcome to our church!” like a fresh, beautiful garden. Help us replace the “deer-nibbled shrubbery” look with something a bit more inspiring. We had to remove many of the old dead shrubs but now we have dirt. We’d love your support in transforming our grounds into an oasis of peace and beauty! ($75,000)
3. Investment in Catholic Education – Our parish school and Faith Formation programs are shaping the next generation of saints (and maybe even future air conditioning unit fundraisers!). Supporting Catholic education means investing in the faith of our youngest members.($350,000)
4. The Food Pantry (AKA Love Your Neighbor) –. At the heart of our ministry is a mission of love and service, and our food pantry is a shining example of that. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we are able to nourish both the bodies and spirits of those in need. Together, as a parish community, we are proud to serve over 300 households each month—providing vital support to more than 1,000 individuals.
Supporting our pantry is more than just giving; it’s living out Holy Trinity’s Vincentian mission and making a tangible difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors. We invite you to join us in this sacred work by donating. Your kindness has the power to bring hope, sustenance, and comfort to those who need it most. ($175,000)
5. Parish Security – St. Peter may hold the keys to Heaven, but our parish would benefit from a few new security measures here on earth. Every donation here helps keep our church and facilities secure, safe, and sound. It is unfortunate, but nearby incidents have created a need to protect and patrol this sacred space. ($102,500)
6. Church Sound and Livestreaming for the Homebound – Because sometimes the choir’s heavenly voices don’t quite reach the back pew or your Aunt Marge’s couch. With improved sound and streaming, everyone can stay connected—especially those unable to attend in person. ($60,000)
7. Mobile Smartboards for Adult Faith Formation – For our Adult Faith Formation programs, we’d like to add some smartboards, giving our catechists the tools to make Bible study and discussion even more engaging. No more blurry chalk drawings; it’s time to go digital! ($12,000)
8. The Hallow Prayer App – Imagine a whole app dedicated to helping us pray together, meditate, and grow in faith! It’s like Netflix for the soul, minus the popcorn. Our goal is to provide parishioners with resources that make daily prayer a more accessible part of their lives. This app has a community feature that centers around our parish and lets us pray together and for each other creating a tighter, more supportive church community! ($10,000)
9. Teen Ministry – Because keeping our teens excited about their faith takes creativity, fun, and sometimes pizza. Your support here helps build up our young disciples (and maybe even keeps them from sneaking out during my homilies). ($3,000)
10. Young Adult Programs – Last but certainly not least, we’re committed to creating meaningful experiences for our young adults. Think of it as “holy happy hour”—a time to connect, grow, and share faith. ($5,000)
