When St. Vincent DePaul recognized the presence of Christ in the poor and most abandoned, his life changed. This mission has the power to transform us all.   Ignoring the cry of the poor is to ignore Christ.   Ignoring the dignity of human life is to ignore God.  The church teaches us that from the moment of conception until natural death, all human beings have dignity as children of God.
