Altar Servers
What Are Altar Servers?
The Ministry of the Altar Server is to help the priests, deacons and installed acolytes during the whole time of the Mass or Liturgical Service. They are responsible for leading the procession at the beginning and ending of the Masses, for preparing and helping the priest with the books containing the prayers, for helping set and clear the altar, for preparing and helping the priest and deacon with the incense and other important tasks to help make Liturgy run smoothly and efficiently.
Expectations:
They are a Roman Catholic who has been baptized and received their First Communion.
That they and/or their parents are registered parishioners of Holy Trinity and support the parish Christian Stewardship program with some identifiable gifts.
That they are willing to serve as an altar server for a term of three years, or until they move or their family moves or transfers membership to another parish.
Someone that is committed to growth in prayer and spiritual values through participation in an occasional retreat and days of training.
